Yeast Rolls: Date Added: 21 Aug 2016

Ingredients

2 pkgs. yeast
2 Tbl. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. salt
5 c. bread flour
Melted Butter


Cooking Instructions

Put in a small bowl and stir:
2 pkgs. yeast
2 Tbl. sugar
1 c. warm water

Mix together:
1/2c. Crisco
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt

Add yeast mixture after it has raised to the Crisco mixture and lightly stir.

Add:
5 c. flour - one cup at a time

Knead until smooth and form a large ball. Put in a bowl, spray with Pam and cover with a towel. Refrigerate overnight or 12 hours.

Remove dough and punch down.

Divide into thirds. Roll out like a pie crut. Spread with melted BUTTER. Cut into pie shape pieces. (About 8 or 10 to a circle.) Roll into crescent rolls. (Starting at round edge, roll up to the point.) Place on an un-greased cookie sheet and let raise until at least tripled in size. (The longer they raise, the lighter they will be.)

Bake at 350 degrees for abut 8 - 10 minutes or until browned nicely. Brush again with melted BUTTER.

For left-overs, double the recipe!
