Ingredients

2 cups fresh sliced peaches
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 t. baking powder
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk
1 stick butter or oleo

Cooking Instructions

2 cups fresh sliced peaches
1 cup sugar

Let this stand while mixing batter. Melt 1 stick butter or oleo in large casserole (2) qt. or a 9 x 9 square pan in the oven at 350 degrees.

Batter:

1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 t. baking powder
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. milk

Mix the dry ingredients, then beat in the milk until lumps are gone. Pour batter into the melted butter. DO NOT STIR. Spoon the sliced peaches over the top of the batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven, or until top is a golden brown. Serve warm. Enjoy! (Note: Cherries or blueberries may be used, canned, fresh, or frozen.)
